Maysa’s journey in the creative industry began nearly 20 years ago in Amman, Jordan, following her studies in fine arts and graphic design. She began her career in publishing, creating and art directing magazines and publications across culture, lifestyle, business, retail, and technology. This early experience shaped her understanding of the relationship between content, visual communication, and audience engagement.

Her career evolved across publishing, branding, digital design, and advertising, where she developed a strong ability to translate ideas into clear and meaningful visual experiences. At Wunderman, part of the global WPP network, she further developed her creative direction skills, working on brand and communication projects that connected strategy, storytelling, and design.

In 2017, Maysa joined Louvre Abu Dhabi, where she contributed to the development of the museum’s brand identity and led the creative direction of campaigns and audience-facing communications. Working within an international cultural institution strengthened her interest in how museums communicate knowledge, engage audiences, and create meaningful cultural experiences. During this period, she also completed a master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Management, focusing on cultural institutions, audiences, representation, sustainability, and branding.

Maysa currently serves as Acting Lead of Publishing at Zayed National Museum, where she manages the development of multilingual publications across Arabic and English, with a focus on children and youth audiences. Her role brings together her experience in creative direction, publishing, and cultural communication—working with curators, educators, writers, illustrators, designers, and production partners to transform ideas and knowledge into engaging publications.

Alongside her professional practice, Maysa is a design educator and has developed creative learning programmes in collaboration with the Goethe Institute in Iraq, focusing on concept development, design thinking, and communication.

Outside of her professional work, Maysa maintains a strong interest in visual culture, literature, and the ways stories and ideas are communicated through words and images. These interests continue to inform her approach to publishing, content development, and audience engagement.
